The Massachusetts Office of Jury Commissioner (OJC) summonses approximately 700,000 jurors per year. Verity worked with OJC to design and implement the Juror Service website.
PROBLEM
The only methods for responding to juror summonses were phone calls and mail. There were no automated, timely methods for a juror to respond to a summons.
SOLUTION
Verity developed an intuitive website to allow jurors to respond to their summonses. This cut down on labor and postage costs and increased convenience. The web application is used by jurors to confirm their service, postpone their service, request a court transfer, or request a disqualification. The website also allows jurors to request email notifications regarding their service and offer feedback on their experience.
